Partition the drive

To partition the drive, use software like miniPartition to do this task.
First chose the drive, then resize as design. After that you can partition the unallocated drive.
This drive can be used to install dual-boot for Ubuntu and Window.
Note: for the boot up, set this partition to active if want to load ubuntu at startup without ESC button press at startup.

Installing Linux on USB

Installing linux OS on USB save a lot of blank CDs because the distros are updated really regularly. So, this may be a good idea to load Linux OS on a thumb drive, and from USB, install the Linux OS on the PCs or labtops.
here are the step:
Go to system, Click admin, then Startup Disk Creator. (assuming the Linux OS image are downloaded on the computer).
From here, just follow instruction, chosing the location of the image, and the USB to install on.
You can either use this USB like a live CD or to installing the OS.
